Instinct, the company behind WP E-commerce, held a contest this past weekend to see who could reproduce simpleCart(js) built by the Wojo Group using a combination of WP E-commerce and Thematic for WordPress. I had the day off on Friday, so I thought I would take a crack at $240 and a chance to dig into WP E-commerce’s new template system. After two hours or so that morning, I sent it off to Dan Milward, ending up with this:
After the weekend was over, I found out that I did in fact win the competition! In addition, I will be releasing the simpleCart theme to the public and may be adding a few theme options as well.
And of course we’ll be making sure it integrates very nice with the WP e-Commerce Plugin
