SimpleCart(js) is a simple, attractive, and flexible WordPress theme that taps into the power of both Thematic and WP E-commerce. Features include AJAX cart functionality, a grid layout for products, and a flexible color scheme, easy to swap out images and completely customize the theme to your needs.
After putting this theme together for the WP E-commerce contest, I am happy to release the theme 100% free of charge. It is a port of the simpleCart(js) theme from the Wojo Group and was changed quite a bit due to its usage of Thematic and WP E-commerce, but I wanted to give credit to the creator, even if there are very few elements left from the original. One important note for this version, there is no link from the products on the homepage to the product info page, future versions will include one. Also, it should be fairly easy to add in there if you know what you’re doing.

You will also need to grab a new WP E-commerce theme to be activated if you want your products to appear in a grid, similar to the demo.
Install
To install, you need to install the WP-Ecommerce plugin, add the WP E-commerce theme to that plugin’s themes directory, then install both Thematic and the normal SimpleCart(js) theme to your regular theme folder.
Configure
You will want to set the page ‘products-page’ as your homepage in WordPress. To do that, go to “Settings > Reading” and tick the radio button for ‘A Static Page’ and select the products page in that list, then save.
This is nice if it works! Too difficult to set up for anyone accept php master. I spend 12 hours and got nothing.

LikeI have installed the WP-Ecommerce theme to that plugins' themes directory but it does not show up under "Select Theme" in the plugins preferences. How am I supposed to activate it?
Also, how do I get the products to display in grid view - do I need to buy the Gold Cart? If so you should say that in your configuration information.

Have I missed something? The long long long awaited bugfix and feature add version 2 of simplecart has been out for a few weeks or so now.
It resolves a lot of problems and looks very very cool feature-wise... anyone know if it's been integrated into wordpress in any way yet? thank you!!

LikeI'd very much like to show this theme in use. I have it installed on a site I want to sell my photography on, but can't for the life of me work out a link from the main products page to the product info in detail. Unless going through the checkout. Not sure why either, but my dollar figure isn't looking like the demo either - ie the green product price, however it is looking good in the shopping card. http://www.nuwombstore.com is the website thus far as I try and work it out

There are no direct links to the product details from the home page but when the user is checking out there is a link provided to each products detail page.
